Call for Submissions
In spring 2009 BRIC Rotunda Gallery will present My Face: Self Representation in the Digital Era, a group exhibition of recent art that responds to the phenomenon of such Internet sites as MySpace and Facebook. Created as online communities, these sites have profoundly impacted youth culture, while fostering the presentation and fabrication of identities that are frequently based in narcissism, obsessive documentation (of one’s network of friends, musical tastes, material possessions, etc.) and the flaunting of sexuality. We would like to review work in all media that responds to these sites – their visual appearance, content, and mode of connecting people and communities.
If you would like your work to be considered for this exhibition please send a CD with images, an artist’s statement, and resume to:

In addition, if you are interested in the themes reflected in this exhibition but have yet to produce relevant work, we will also review proposals for future projects.
